Optional SATs papers: Y5 maths 2003
Prior to 2016, optional SATs were used in some schools to assess children's progress in English and maths. In 2016, the SATs system changed to reflect the new National Curriculum. These past papers are the 'old-style' optional SATs, but can still be used at home to help your child get used to working through tests.
This pack includes:
- Y5 maths SATs 2003 paper A (levels 3-5)
- Y5 maths SATs 2003 paper B (levels 3-5)
- Mental maths pupil answer sheet
- Teachers' guide and mark scheme, paper A and paper B
- Mental maths test transcript
All the papers and marking materials have been merged into one easy download for you.
The Y5 maths optional SATs consists of three papers: Paper A, Paper B and a mental maths test. In schools children would complete one paper and the mental maths test on one day and the other paper on the following day. Calculators are not allowed when completing Paper A, but can be used for Paper B and should be made available.
