Three-digit place value matching cards
Each blue number is made up of three pink numbers. Can you match up the correct cards?
Two-digit place value arrow cards
Arrow cards can help your child to understand place value. Ask your child to cut these cards out. Either write down or call out various two-digit numbers and ask your child to make them with their arrow cards, lining up the arrows so that the number 43, for example, is made up of the 40 card and 3 card together.
Understanding place value
Cut out the following cards. For each orange number, there is a purple number that is one more. See if you can match up the pairs. Then mix all the numbers up. Can you put them back into their pairs and then organise them into their four groups (1 more, 10 more, 100 more and 1000 more)?
Y3 place value grids
Cut out the Questions and answers card below (try not to let your child see it). Give your child the Place value grid. Call out each question. Your child needs to write the digits in the correct places in the grid and work out the correct number. Ask them to say it out loud once they have done this.

Consolidate your child's knowledge of place value with this Year 4 place value grid activity. This will involve a bit of cutting and some adult help!
Y5 place value quiz
Cut out the following numbers and put them face up on a table. Now ask an adult to read out the questions below. Every time you think you’ve found the correct number, turn it over so it is face down.
Year 3 place value quiz
Ask your child to cut out the number cards below while you cut out the question card. Your child then needs to lay out all the number cards on a table, face up. Call out each question. Your child needs to find the number card that has the answer on it. If they get it right, they turn the card over. Continue until all the cards have been turned over.
