Optional SATs papers: Y5 English 2003

Optional SATs were used in some schools prior to 2016 in Y3, Y4 and Y5 to track pupils' progress in English and maths. This official Y5 English SATs paper from 2003, free to download, can be used as an at-home revision and study aid.

Prior to 2016, some schools used optional SATs at the end of Years 3, 4 and 5 to test pupils' progress. In 2016, a new system of SATs was established, in line with the revised National Curriculum. These 2003 KS2 Y5 English optional SATs papers are the old-style optional SATs, but can still be used to help prepare your child for taking exams.
